Violet Elizabeth Farris “Biz”, born January 28, 1931, died on June 18, 2024. Predeceased by parents Howard and Violet Farris and siblings Marvin, Howard, and Elmer Farris. Survived by siblings Helen Satterlee and Charlene Catey. Predeceased by niece and nephews Carol Kriss, William Farris, and Don Satterlee. Survived by nieces and nephews Judy Addabbo, Loretta Horvath, Howard Farris, Susan Derocha, Beth Ann Farris, Kathy DeMerle, Bishop Craig Satterlee, Brian Satterlee, Amy Herbst, and Deborah Hasson, and many great nieces and nephews.
Employed by J.L. Hudson, Vlasic Pickles, and over 30 years with IRS. She was a warm, loving, and caring person and a hard worker. Always there to help and protect. She took care of so many during their final days, making sure they were comfortable and provided support and love to their families. Enjoyed excursions with her nieces and nephews. She touched so many lives everywhere she went. She knew no stranger. Whether family, friend, or acquaintance, you were truly fortunate if Biz/Vi was in your life. When the family dog and cat didn’t get along, her determined nature won out.
The bible verses Biz chose, Ecclesiastes 3:1-10 and 1 Corinthians 13: 4-13, say everything about her life and about forgiveness. All of us can learn a lot from the way she lived and believed. Many of the souls she touched greeted her in heaven with open arms saying “Well Done, Biz, Well Done”.
A visitation for Violet will be held Sunday, June 30, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, Michigan 48088. An instate will occur Monday, July 1, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
