Virginia Kudzia, age 98, of Macomb, Michigan passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Virginia was born in Hamtramck, Michigan and attended Hamtramck High School. After her schooling, Virginia went on to work at an optical center until she answered the call to assist with the War as a “Rosie the Riveter”. She worked hard, and gave every paycheck to her mother to help support her family. Virginia was married to the love of her life, Edward, for 66 years until his passing in 2012. Together, they had 6 children, eventually 13 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Virginia loved children, and especially loved playing with her grand and great-grandchildren. She was an avid Tigers fan and loved all things competitive like sports, bowling, bingo, and playing cards. She would often get competitive with her own family playing baseball at the family reunions. Virginia never met a stranger. She could talk to anyone and instantly have a new friend. She was always there if you needed her, and took care of her fellow residents at the American House. In her 98 years, Virginia was always fun and full of life. She was sure to have a party for herself to celebrate her 90th birthday. She also loved to dance and even if she fell, Virginia always bounced back with a smile. Virginia’s friendliness, selflessness, and zest for life will always be treasured. She will be missed and loved eternally by her loving family and friends.
Virginia was the beloved wife of the late Edward. Loving mother of Paul (Jean) Kudzia, Julia (the late Martin Jr.) Pelt, Theresa (Sunny) Spilos, Debbie (Al) Lystad, Steve (Shari) Kudzia, and Ron Kudzia.
