Walter Bernard Zwolinski

Walter B. Zwolinski of Warren passed away surrounded by his family on June 27, 2017, at St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Wally was born to Wladislaw and Katherine Zwolinski on May 2,1957 in Detroit, Michigan. Wally grew up in the Detroit and Hamtramck area, attending Our Lady Queen of Apostles Elementary School and later graduating from St. Florian High School in Hamtramck. Wally had many fond memories of his high school friends and times spent in and around Hamtramck.Wally worked for four years at Wayne State University (WSU) in the Purdy/Kresge Library. He also worked for 17 years at Electronic Data Systems "EDS" as an Applications Engineer and then as a Project Manager at the GM Tech Center in Warren.Wally met Cynthia Swenskowski in 1983 at WSU and they later married at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Detroit on October 3,1987. Together they had three children, Erika Noel, Kristina Marie, and Alexander Walter. Wally took great pride in his children and their many accomplishments. While the children were growing one of the things Wally enjoyed most was being involved in his children's many activities. Wally's interest in magic and love of providing entertainment to children will be fond memories his family will cherish forever.Wally joins in Heaven his mother, Katherine, his father, Wladyslaw, and his sister, Ursula, in eternal life. He will also be greeted by his mother and father-in-law, Casimer and Elizabeth Swenskowski, who loved him very much. He is survived by his wife Cynthia and his dear children Erika, Kristina, and Alex Zwolinski. Also surviving is his Brother Gerald Zwolinski. and his in-laws; Richard, Nancy, and Kevin Swenskowski. He was especially fond of Richard Swenskowski, whom he often referred to as his "brother".Visitation for Wally will be held Friday from 4-8pm with 7pm Rosary Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd). Wally will lie In state Saturday 9:30am at St. Faustina Catholic Church (formerly St. Edmund) until the time of the Funeral Mass 10am. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Reverend Fr. Bogdan Milosz. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.Please share memories of Wally at his memory book above.
