William D. Knight, 92, of Warren, died Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights. He was born December 4, 1917 in Detroit, the son of David and Margaret (Badgly) Knight. William was united in marriage to Orma M. Knight on June 6, 1936 in Highland Park. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a boxing referee for the Navy in the Philipines. He was employed for over 30 years as a safety engineer for Ford Motor Company and retired from there in 1977. He enjoyed bowling, golf and watching the Red Wings and Tigers play. He was a member of the American Bowling Congress. He is survived by his wife, Orma M. Knight; daughter, Arlene Narlock; grandchildren, Clifford (Linda) Narlock, Roger (Diane) Narlock and Jason Narlock; and, 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Robert Knight. Visitation is 3-9 pm Friday at D. S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover, Warren. A funeral service will take place at 11 am Saturday at the funeral home.
