Geitz Marion E.”Auntie Em” (Palmieri)

Age 95 died Wednesday January 26, 2011 at the Crestwood Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Melvin Geitz. Born in Warren she was a daughter of the late Ernesto and Mary (Teoli) Palmieri. She lived in Norfolk Virginia for 50 years and worked as a restaurant manager.

She sang all over the country with the Sweet Adelines and was a lifelong member. She was an avid square and ballroom dancer and taught line dancing for many years.

She was the mother of the late Joan Wiegand and grandmother of David Wiegand of AZ.

She is survived by 4 brothers Robert and his wife Philomena of Coventry, John of Warren, Joseph and his wife Lucille of Bristol and Paul Palmieri and his wife Claire of FL.

She was also a sister of the late Louis, Nicholas, Ernest, Parige, Anthony, Roland, and Arthur Palmieri, Assunta “Suzie” Jansen, Yolanda Bianco, Leona “Sally” Viera and Marie Mc Mullen. She had 39 nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 am from WILBUR-ROMANO Funeral Home 615 Main St. Warren. With a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in St. Alexander’s Church 221 Main St. Warren. Burial will be in St. Alexander’s Cemetery.
