Born in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts on April 19, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Alyce (Phillips) Beals; mother of Lynn A. Izyk and Debra A. Souza; grandmother of Amy Germain, Joseph Izyk and Megan Souza; sister of the late Fred Beals Jr., Marion Silanskas, Grace Arruda and Frances MacNeill; aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Muriel had worked as a convalescent home secretary for many years before retiring.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Friday, 4-6 p.m. with a service at 6 p.m. in the WILBUR-ROMANO Funeral Home, 615 Main Street, Warren, Rhode Island. Burial will be private. www.wilbur-romano.com
