Rhonda was born on November 13, 1964 in Fall River, MA to William and Vivien (Plamondon) Pevin.
A graduate of Warren High School, Class of 1982, she earned an associate’s degree in Accounting from the former Barrington College. Rhonda was employed by the Town of Warren for over 15 years. She also served as the secretary for numerous Town Boards and Commissions.
Rhonda was a loving mother who made many sacrifices to ensure her children lived fulfilling lives. For years, she volunteered throughout the Bristol-Warren Regional School District, serving on the PTA, as a teachers’ aide and participating in countless school programs and clubs. Rhonda organized the Cancer Pillow Project at Kickemuit Middle School, sewing pillows for students to decorate for chemotherapy patients. Rhonda was endlessly skilled, becoming a talented seamstress and baker from a young age, even owning her own cake business, Elegance by Rhonda.
Rhonda was a proud member of her community, helping serve meals to veterans each Thanksgiving and supporting many local fundraisers and charities. She was a true patriot of her country and proudly displayed her support for her troops, especially her sons, Jarrett and Jevin. She could often be found proudly sporting a military T-shirt, honoring her country and her sons. Rhonda was dedicated to her faith and was an active member of her parish, having joyfully sang in the St. Mary of the Bay and former St. Jean’s choir before joining the St. Luke’s choir.
Rhonda leaves behind her loving legacy with her four children, Joseph “J.” Fortin and his wife Nicole of Warren, Riana France and her husband Jameson of Warren, Jarrett Fortin and his wife Raizza of Missouri, and Jevin Fortin and his fiancée Alexis Franco of New Hampshire. She also leaves behind a beautiful granddaughter, Ravyn Lily Fortin, sister Tiffany Quiterio and her husband Dylan of Warren, and many beloved uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends.
