Robert Leonard Francoeur, age 88, of East Providence and formerly of Lincoln and Bristol, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 at Evergreen House Health Center. Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Leonard and Antoinette (Turcotte) Francoeur.
Bob was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, Class of 1952 and Providence College, Class of 1967. He worked as a plant manager at manufacturing plants in Rhode Island, North Carolina, and Connecticut before retiring. Bob followed all local sports teams, professional golf, and was a diehard Providence College Basketball fan. He enjoyed bowling, traveling, salt-water fishing, and reading.
Bob’s survivors include two daughters, Eileen Mandeville and her husband Raymond of Wakefield and Donna Antaya of Prudence Island; one son, Robert A. Francoeur and his wife Stacie of West Greenwich; one brother, Ronald Francoeur and his wife Claire of Lincoln; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his dear companion Angela deMedeiros.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM in St. Mary’s Parish, 330 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery, Warren.
