Father Charles Henry Muzzey passed away on October 6, 2025 at his residence in Laurel, Maryland. He was born to Gertrude Marie Schneider Muzzey and Charles Melvin Muzzey in Newark, New Jersey on August 12, 1932. He was ordained a Roman Catholic priest on May 8, 1965 and served in many parishes in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington, including as Pastor of St. Ambrose Parish in Cheverly, Maryland and St. George’s Parish in Valley Lee, Maryland and St. Mary’s Parish in Barnesville, Maryland. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at St. Ann’s Parish in Tenleytown, from 3:00 - 7:00 pm, with the Vigil Mass at 7:00 pm. A second viewing will be held from 9:00 - 10:00 am, prior to the Mass of Christian Burial to be offered there, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at a later date at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA.
