On Sunday, May 1, 2011, at Sibley Hospital. Survived by children, Suzanne Holmes Crooker, Robert Holmes, Marilyn Holmes and Janice Holmes; grandchildren, Brian, Scott and Marly Holmes and Miranda Turner; sister, Jean Holmes Keithley; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in the summer; a memorial gathering will be held at Ingleside at Rock Creek, 3050 Military Rd., NW, Washington, DC at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2011.
