He graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Russian language and a minor in Chinese. Kevin initially worked for IBM as a systems analyst. Despite a motorcycle accident in 1979 that left him a quadriplegic, his achievements were many. He went on to attend Georgetown University Law School, where he received his J.D., and subsequently practiced immigration law. His gift for languages was quite useful in his legal career; after marrying Nina, he also became fluent in Spanish and worked with clients from Ulaanbaatar to La Paz. Outside of his professional life, Kevin wrote three novels and loved skydiving.
Kevin leaves behind his beloved wife, Fatme (Nina) Bracamonte Reilly, and his 26-year-old son, Fabrizio Reilly. In addition to his wife and son, he is survived by four siblings: Joseph Reilly (Lane), Marjorie Reilly Smith, Brian Reilly (Colleen), and Kate Reilly Brinkley (John), as well as his brother-in-law, Marco Bracamonte (Maribel) and brother-in-law Javier Boyan.
