We loved Margaret.  She was a wonderful friend to my Mother, Marion Mack.  Now they are dancing together in heaven with the heavenly hosts!

"Margaret was one of the first members of The Palisades Community Church I was introduced to when my wife Alison asked me to accompany her to the neighborhood Church that she has been attending during the time in the 1980's when I was commuting to New York every week in my new position as CEO of the Westway Group.  Alison told about how helpful she had been to her during that period and how she had gotten her involved in the Church Choir.  Her gracious welcome on that first, as well as subsequent, meetings was a principal reason for Alison's and my formally joining the Church in  1987.  She was one great lady!"

Margaret has been such a positive force in our community. The Palisades Community Preschool was the result of her energy and dedication, along with others. She was a devoted mother and a lively leader in the Palisades Community Church. I appreciate that Margaret shared her life with us. I will miss her.

To Margaret:  Why do words, the messengers of the heart, flee us, when in a time of need.  How often I thought of you; your sweet and gentle spirit.  I did not know the last we spoke would be our last.  It is a heavy thing to lose you; memories must suffice.

Such a wonderful, faithful member of the choir! I got to know Margaret singing alongside her in the alto section. She was a strong singer, a faithful, active member of PCC, and a wonderful soul. Truly one of the matriarchs at PCC! She will be missed, but her spirit will live on!

Jeff gave me many wonderful gifts -- including introducing me to your family.  Margaret was such a joy to know and a bright light in our lives.  As others have already said, she was beautiful inside and out, wise and witty, caring and careful of others.  And she was also that old fashioned thing:  Always a Lady   -- in the best sense of the word with graciousness and laughter and love.   I give thanks that her light shone for a bit into my life because I am a richer and better person for it.   Peace --

I have known Margaret close to my whole life.  What strikes me is how supportive and kind she was to me.  She always had a little bit of wisdom to offer on raising kids or on life's little challenges.  She will be so missed at Palisades Community Church and in the neighborhood.

Margaret was an inspiration to me. We had a lot in common: veterans, college graduates, Christians, and divorcees. She was a friend to my grandmother, Betty Hoffmaster. I will never forget her. Margaret was a strong, smart, independent, and brave woman who had a pure heart.

I had the pleasure of getting to know your mother thru my mother, Betty Hoffmaster. Recently I visited Margaret in Sibley and, as always, enjoyed interesting conversation, laughter and love. Margaret was a great friend and neighbor.Margaret was a strong, brave and inquisitive woman with a twinkle in her eye! Doug and I shall miss her.

My thoughts and prayers are with Margaret's family.  I consider it a great privilege to have known this lovely lady for many years.  She was a woman of great beauty within and without.  Her lovely spirit, her beautiful smile, her loving ways, and her positive outlook will continue to be an influence on the lives of all with whom she came in contact.
