

She was predeceased by her parents, Mortimer and Kathleen Healy, her sister, Kathleen, her brothers Mortimer and Harry, sister-in-law Hilda, and niece Kathleen. She is survived by her nephew, Michael F. Healy, his wife, Mary Anne Gibbons, and their children, Kathleen C. Healy and Michael M. Healy.
Marie was born in the Hudson Heights section of North Bergen, NJ, and lived in North Bergen most of her life until relocating to the Washington, DC area seven years ago. She graduated from Holy Family High School and worked in New York City in a clerical position. Given her artistic talents and skills, she later joined a specialty box manufacturer as the sample designer and special presentation box fabricator. Her handmade presentation boxes were used for gifts given to United States Presidents, Corporate Executives, and Heads of State.
Before her move to Washington, DC, Marie became a sponsor of a child in Guatemala through Unbound, an organization helping poor children and the aged worldwide. At the time of her death, she was sponsoring her second child.
She was a Parishioner of Shrine of the Sacred Heart parish, Washington, DC, where she had many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the chapel at the Jeanne Jugan Residence at a later date and Marie will be interred in New Jersey.
