Patricia Anne Donnelly

On Tuesday, June 12, 2012, of Bethesda, MD. Loving mother of Charles Thomas Donnelly-Justus and daughter of the late Dorothea Cox Donnelly and Charles Thomas Donnelly. She is survived by her cousins, Nancy Rogers, John, Richard and Christopher Rose.

Patricia was raised in Bethesda, MD, attending Little Flower School and graduating from the Connelly School of the Holy Child. She attended Gettysburg College and received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Maryland, where she was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority.

Patricia served in the state and federal campaigns of Rep. Connie Morella, a longtime family friend, and in 1987 joined her staff in the US House of Representatives managing her office until 1996.

After leaving Capitol Hill, she devoted herself to raising her son, Charlie, always offering her support in his life. She volunteered as the Parent Association President for two years at the Woods Academy and was active in the activities at Gonzaga College High School. She always continued her interest in politics by working on a number of other state-level campaigns and consulting. She remained an active volunteer with the Rock Creek and the Chevy Chase Women's Republican Clubs.

Family and friends will be received at JOSEPH GAWLER'S SONS, 5130 Wisconsin Ave. at Harrison St., NW, Washington, DC, on Thursday, June 21 from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 22 at 12 noon at the Church of the Little Flower, 5607 Massachusetts Ave., Bethesda, MD. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
