Patricia D'Arcy Fraumeni

Patricia Welch D’Arcy Fraumeni, 79, of Bethesda, Maryland, entered Eternal Rest on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Tricia was born on March 7, 1946, in Buffalo, New York, and was the beloved daughter and ninth child of Patricia and John D’Arcy. Tricia is survived by her devoted and loving husband of nearly 49 years, Dr. Joseph F. Fraumeni, Jr.; by her siblings, Dr, Brian D’Arcy of Buffalo, New York and Alison Dietrich of Bethesda, Maryland; and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings: Suzanne, Joan, John, Kevin, Gerald, Charles, and Roger.

Tricia earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from SUNY-Mount St. Mary’s School of Nursing in 1966. She began her career as a Registered Nurse at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital and later continued her service at Georgetown University Hospital, where she was known for her compassion, professionalism, and dedication to patient care. Tricia’s love for her husband and for her extended family was sincere, selfless, and given with an unwavering commitment. Tricia was also known for her whimsical creative abilities.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the Church of the Little Flower, 5607 Massachusetts Avenue, Bethesda, Maryland 20816; there will be a visiting hour before the Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. Private burial.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Li-Fraumeni Syndrome Association.
