Rafael Manuel Gonzalez

On Monday, January 9, 2012, Rafael Manuel Gonzalez, 56 of Washington, DC; beloved husband/partner of Michael K. Bell for 27 years; loving son of Liliana Gonzalez; brother of Marisita Cortes (Rafael), Isabel Garcia (Jose Maria) and Carmen Gonzalez. Also survived by nieces, Isabel Elena Garcia, Liliana Lacayo, Ana Dacey and Erin Dacey; nephews, Rafael Cortes (Leslie), Eduardo Cortes (Christina), Javier Cortes (Mercedes), Jose Maria Garcia, Gabriel Garcia, Ronald Lacayo, Rafael Lacayo, Manuel Lacayo, Corey Bell and Joshua Bell (Ashlee); and many loving family and friends. Rafael graduated from Catholic University and obtained a Master's degree. He worked as an architect and volunteered with Food and Friends and The National Zoo. Family and friends are invited to call at JOSEPH GAWLER'S SONS, INC. 5130 Wisconsin Ave. N.W. (corner of Harrison St.) on Friday, January 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Services will be held on Saturday, January 14 at 12 noon at the Institute for Spiritual Development, 5419 Sherier Place N.W., Washington, DC.
