ROBIN STICKLE VIERBUCHEN (Age 82) Of Bethesda, MD died peacefully August 16, 2010 after a long battle with lymphoma. A loving mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, she dedicated her life to others: volunteering at Meals on Wheels, the Chevy Chase Women''s Republican Club, and the Kiwanis Club; caring for loved ones through their difficult times; and making what all who tried it agreed was the best grilled cheese sandwich in the greater Washington area. She was a third-generation Washingtonian, a graduate of the National Cathedral School, and a long time member of Columbia Country Club. She also attended Chevy Chase Junior Women''s College and took classes at George Washington University. Her large family will miss her kindness, her faith, and her slightly irreverent sense of humor. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Richard Carl Vierbuchen, Sr. Survivors include her twin sister, Ruth Bernard of Baltimore, MD and four children, Richard C. Vierbuchen, Jr. (Joanna), of London, Robin Sproul (David) of Bethesda; Thomas Vierbuchen (Kimberly), of Charlottesville, VA and Catherine Moreland (David) of Frederick, MD. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. A private service will be held Friday, August 20. Arrangements entrusted to Joseph Gawler's Sons, Inc., Washington, DC.
