I have a wonderful memory of Tim in Puerto Rico. My father, Ed, is Tim's long time friend, which is why Tim was my godfather. My parents and I met up with Tim in San Juan. Tim introduced us all to Shigeko and we had a great trip together. On one of the days, Tim and I were walking on the beach and he asked me what I thought of Shigeko. I said, "I really like her!" He replied, "I do too!" He paused for a minute then continued, "...I think I'm going to marry her." It was one of the most romantic moments that I've had the honor of witnessing. Even as a tween, I knew love when I saw and heard it. A few months later I was told that Tim and Shigeko were getting married. I was thrilled and not at all surprised.

Shigeko and Skye, our family is thinking of you both, especially during this time. We love you and we are praying for God to comfort you as you navigate this tremendous loss. We have also been praying for Tim, that God will lead him into His kingdom.

I grew up with  Tim, all through of our school years. He was even my first date at the age of 12, when we went to the Boy Scout Ball in Rockford. I have very fond memories of him, just in Rockford alone, so I am not surprised to find him so successful throughout his life. My class is getting overwhelmed with these passings, and our hearts are very heavy.

I send my sincere condolences to his family in this shocking and sad time.
