Artis was born on October 24, 1952 to the late Adolfs and Asa (Boelovs) Lejins in Reading, PA. He worked and retired as a Research Chemist for Sherman Williams. He loved the outdoors, gardening and taking care of his property. He was a kind man who loved his family and will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife Margaret Lejins; sons, John Paul and Nicholas; daughters, Carolyn and Kristina; sister, Cindy Martinez; granddaughter, Faith and sister-in-law, Pauline Gorman.
Visiting will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2016 from 3-5 pm at the DAVID T. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY. A Prayer Service will follow at 5:00 pm also at the funeral home. Cremation Services were private.
