Deborah Ann Migliorini, 67, of Washingtonville, passed away on November 7, 2023, after a very long struggle with Liposarcoma.
Deborah was born on October 15, 1956, in Mount Kisco, NY, to Gordon and Dorothy Perry, and she grew up in Pleasantville, NY. After graduating from Pleasantville High School, Deborah went on to study at SUNY Brockport. There she was restless and did not know what direction to take.
In 1976, Deborah left school to join the US Army. She completed basic training and entered into the Military Police Corps. She was stationed in Hanau, Germany as a Customs Investigator working black marketing investigations. Deborah served three years on active duty and then returned to New York and served one year in the Army Reserve and one year in the New York Army National Guard.
It was during her service in the National Guard that she met her future husband, Joseph. After leaving military service, Deborah became a security officer at the United Nations in Manhattan. While she enjoyed this job she eventually left, Deborah wished to start a family. In 1982, Deborah and Joseph were married at Holy Innocence Church in Pleasantville. They settled in Washingtonville, NY, and had three children Keith, Jessica, and Mark.
In 1994, Deborah fulfilled a dream by opening a country gift retail store named, Apples & Such, located in Washingtonville. Deborah ran her store selling country gifts and folk art until 2008 when she discovered she was ill and could not continue.
Deborah is survived by her husband Joseph, her mother Dorothy, her three children and their spouses, three granddaughters Cassidy, Quinn and Kyla, and her three older sisters Barbara, Joyce, and Alison.
