

Edmund A. Fares, of Blooming Grove, NY entered into rest July 31, 2013 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in NYC; he was 70 years old. Edmund was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 30, 1943 to Edmund and Cecile LaFlamme Fares
Edmund was a man who was larger than life, he enjoyed hunting, photography, and he was a chef and a musician. A past commissioner of Orange County Public Works, past engineer for both the Town of Blooming Grove as well as the Village of Washingtonville, past chairman of the NYS Bridge Authority and President and owner of Garrison Construction Company.
He is survived by his wife Christine Fares of Blooming Grove; Daughters Michelle and her husband Marc Scanlon of Blooming Grove, NY and Vanessa and her husband Kevin Gordon of Saranac Lake, NY; grandchildren Camilla, Natalie and Charlotte Scanlon as well as many cousins. Predeceased by his brother, Robert Fares. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 4, 2013, from 1-3 & 5-8pm at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, August 5, 2013, 10AM at the Sacred Heart Chapel at 151 Stage Road in Monroe, NY. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Florida, NY
