Eddie Rose was my older cousin by 3 years. Eddie was my hero, he was hardworking, especially when he worked with my father and uncle in Winther's Deli in Haverstraw; where he and my mom would peel as much as 100-300 lbs. of potatoes for German potato salad on many a summer weekend. What I remember as a kid was that he was tall and strong but mostly I remember how kind he was! Much to my regret, we saw each other sporadically but spoke on the phone occasionally to keep updated on the changes in our lives. The last time we saw one another was at the cabin in Millerton about 4 years ago. Eddie was sawing down a tree, while the rest of us watched. I am thankful to Kathy, I spoke to him a week ago. Rest in peace my dear cousin, you were loved by me. Willie

We didn’t have the pleasure of knowing your father but from hearing about him by you, Kathy he was a very special father and grandpa. I met him once and was impressed by his friendly and wonderful personality and demeanor. Fred and I are so sorry for your loss. He will be missed.
