

Frances M. Kania of Washingtonville, NY entered into rest peacefully after a long illness on March 2, 2011 at Arden Hill Hospital in Goshen, NY. She was 87. She was born in Blooming Grove, NY on September 21, 1923 to Emile Geysen and Colletta Van Rompaye.
Frances was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved gardening, needlework, cooking and music. Frances was the widow of Peter S. Kania.
She is survived by her three daughters: Virginia Solla and her husband, Eric of Tyngsboro, MA, Juanita Wells and her husband, Roger of London, KY and Patricia Farrell and her husband, Mark of Pleasant Valley, NY; grandchildren: Victoria and Stephanie Solla, Tammy and husband, Dave Staley, Timothy and his wife, Sarah Wells, Benjamin and wife, Mattie Wells and Nina and Steven Farrell; great grandchildren, Ethan Wells and Elizabeth Staley as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, March 6 at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, Washingtonville, NY. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 7 at St. Mary’s Church in Washingtonville, NY. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Washingtonville, NY.
