Hi, I'm Laurie Perrotti, Kate's friend from childhood.  I was 4 years old when I met Kate and the Lynch family.  We lived next door for years.  I guess I was sort of a fixture in their house.  Like poor Mrs. Lynch needed more kids underfoot, but it never seemed to be a problem.  There are so many fond memories of my friendship with Kate, especially the back yard campouts, Bob Dylan (yes I suffered through the songs, just because she wanted to hear them), the 11-11 Club and trips to Callacoon.  Those are just a few of a lifetime of memories.  I remember the laughter and all the silly things we used to do.  Kate was always there for me and even if we were apart, even for years, once we got together, it was like no time had lapsed.  That's just the way it was with us.  We are family and always will be.  

To Kate:  I miss you so much it hurts.  We hadn't been in touch for a while, but there is still a big hole in my life. I will see you in Heaven, my dear friend, and I promise, you can listen to as much Bobby D as you want, and I won't even cringe.  I love you always.

Kate and I were roommates in college. She walked into my room one day and said, "Anna!  We can spend a semester in Europe!"  She got me an application, and the next thing I knew we were off to spend a month backpacking thru several cultures, then settling in for a semester in England.  Needless to say, with Kate along, we were always having fun.  We've stayed in touch throughout the years, getting together to share stories, laughs, and our love of art.  In these past couple of years, I have come to realize just how much I love Kate.  I will miss her laugh, her sweet, gentle voice, her beautiful eyes, caring heart, and astute eye for art. My heart and prayers go out to the Larkin and Lynch families.  Sweet dreams, Kate... rest now.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Reading some of the other entries in the Guest Book touched me how special Kate was, and how she is part of a strong family clan who generously offered a safe and welcoming extension of home for so many in our community growing up in Ramsey, NJ.  

We'll keep the extended Lynch and Larkin Families in our thoughts and prayers.

We hold a special place for Kate Lynch Larkin in our hearts!

All our lives Kate and mine have been running parallel through the Ramsey neighborhood, St Pauls school and St Pauls Church, or through our Mothers.  My heart goes out to the entire Lynch and Larkin famlies. What I will always remember about Kate were the movie nights at the Lynch house.  I know the lose of your sister and daughter will be a sorrow that will always be felt, but knowing she is in a much better place will help ease the pain.

I am so sorry for your loss. Kate was always good for a smile or a story. Rest in peace Kate, your suffering is done.

To the Lynch and Larkin families, we extend our most sincere condolences.  Kate Lynch lived across the street from my family in Ramsey, Nj many years ago.  I spent about as much time at the Lynch house as I did my own back then.  Kate became our baby sitter around 1970 and oh how we would terrorize her.  When our parents would leave for a much deserved evening out I would inevitably beg and plead to have my friend Alice (Kate's younger sister) sleep over.  Sometimes Kate would even say yes!  I would like to think that Alice was the ringleader but must finally concede that it just might have been me.  The harassment would typically include but was not limited to feigning injury and or dangling gerbils in her face as she unsuspectingly sat on the couch.  Oh how she would scream and oh how we would laugh.  Kate was such a good sport about our antics and continued to come back again and again to watch 4 bratty kids and sometimes her mischievous sister too. Was it for that $1.00 an hour or did kate actually like us?   In later years Alice  became her source of strength and the two shared a very special bond. I have heard that Kate dealt with her illness with courage and grace.  This, of course does not surprise me at all.   Again, we are so saddened to hear of Kate's death and we remember the entire Lynch family with great fondness.

To Kate's family - We knew her so well through her Mom, Mary and prayed for her weekly.  My deepest sympathy to all of you in your loss but know that she is at peace.  Sincerely, Margaret Johnson, Venice, Fl.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Larkin and Lynch families. I hadn't seen Kate in a long, long time but remember her as a happy, outgoing child. Every death is a sad occasion but to lose someone so young makes it all the sadder. Again, my sincerest condolences.
