

Manuel Maldonado of New Windsor, NY originally of Ocala, Florida age 80 entered into rest October 8, 2012 at home with his family by his side. He was born in Ciales, Puerto Rico on February 15, 1932 to Manuel and Juana (Caravallo) Maldonado. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. Manuel was a Merchant Marine and Longshoreman. Manuel was also known as a funny, stern and stubborn person. He is survived by his son, Manuel Maldonado of Wesley Chapel, FL; daughters, Leonor Rodriguez also of Wesley Chapel, FL, Damary Maldonado and her companion Rahman Mutawassim of New Windsor, NY and Jollice Maldonado of Ocala, FL; brother, Ruben “Roberto” Maldonado of Brooklyn, NY; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren. Manuel was predeceased by his ex-wife and friend Gladys E. R. Maldonado as well as several siblings. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 12PM -2PM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34480.
