

Norman Wendell Prue, age 76, born February 11,1945 in Clovis, New Mexico, passed away October 18, 2021 in Maybrook, New York. He passed peacefully with family by his side after a brief and brave battle with cancer.
He was the eldest child of Lewis and LaJuean Prue of Ashland, Maine. Norman grew up in a military family and moved around the world before he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1963. He married his high school sweetheart, Kathy-Ann Clark, of Lakehurst, New Jersey, in 1965. Together they raised four successful sons, Norman Jr., currently living in Ramstein, Germany, Joseph, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Michael, of Wichita, Kansas, and Thomas, of Derby, Kansas.
Norman served meritoriously for 30 years in the United States Air Force as an aircraft maintenance expert, retiring in 1993 at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He served in the Vietnam War, the Cold War, and the Persian Gulf War.
Upon retiring from the United States Air Force, Norman worked for Learjet in Wichita, Kansas, for 18 years before retiring in 2011.
Preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and LaJuean, and his sister, Bonnie Page, of Ashland, Maine. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, four sons, eleven grandchildren, one great-grandson, two brothers, Lewis “LP” Prue Jr., of Fort Fairfield, Maine, and Dennis Prue of Caribou, Maine, and two four-legged companions Bailey and Riley.
No services will be held at this time. His burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
