Rose Marie Hirsch

Rose Marie P. Hirsch, 87, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and formerly of Washingtonville, New York and Bronx, New York entered eternal rest on January 16, 2022. Rose Marie was born on July 15, 1934 in New York, New York to Catherine (Elder) and Patrick Cassidy. She graduated from St. Pius V High School. She married her soul mate and love of her life John (Jack) Hirsch on September 12, 1953. Married for 58 years, together they raised their four wonderful children, Rose Mary, John Joseph, Catherine Ann, and Theresa Joan. She worked as a secretary for both Cardinal Hayes High School and Cardinal Spellman High School. After 40 years of living in the Bronx, Rose Marie and Jack relocated to Washingtonville, NY where they spent the rest of their years together. She enjoyed spending as much time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as possible. Rose Marie will be remembered for her kind heart and infectious smile. She was predeceased by her husband John Hirsch, sisters Catherine (Michael) McElroy and Margaret (William) Murray, and brothers Patrick (Lillian), William, and Thomas Cassidy. She is survived by her four children, Rose Mary and husband John Scarano, John Hirsch, Catherine and husband Richard VanDeFlier, and Theresa Policella; six grandchildren John and wife Jennifer Scarano, Jason Policella, Michael Scarano, Nicholas Policella, Daniel and wife Nicole Scarano, and Lauren Savino; four great grandchildren Camryn, Daniel, Lily, and MaKenzie Scarano. Rose Marie is also survived by her sisters, Sr. Catherine Patrick and Jeanne Cassidy, sister-in-law Yolanda Cassidy and many nieces and nephews. Family, friends and all who knew Rose Marie will carry her in their hearts forever.
