Sheridan "Sheri" F. Mooney

Sheridan "Sheri" F. Mooney, age 66, entered into rest Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at her home in Washingtonville, NY. Sheri was born October 23, 1945 in Warwick, NY to Clifford A. and Dorothy A. Behrens Sayer. She was the widow of Peter Mooney.

A loving mother, Mema, sister and aunt, she was devoted to her children and grandchildren. Sheri loved sewing, crafts, cake decorating and her trips to Cape May, she was also a member of the Blooming Grove Seniors. She is survived by her son, Christopher P. Mooney and his companion, Susanne Cudmore; daughters, Lori A. and husband, William H. Wilson, and Sandra E. and husband, Jay VanRiper, both of Washingtonville; grandchildren: Timothy and Erin Wilson, Kelsey and Allison VanRiper, Christopher Mooney, Thomas and Victoria Cudmore; a sister, Margaret Boecklin of Plainview, NY. She was predeceased by her brother, Clifford Sayer, and a sister, Gertrude Penaluna. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home in Washingtonville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 5, 2012 at St. Mary’s Church in Washingtonville, NY.
