William Hutchinson

He was born in Larchmont on October 27, 1931, to Samuel Hutchinson and Evelyn Hansen.

William was a retired splicer for N.Y. Telephone Co. He was a member of VFW Post #8691, Washingtonville, the Telephone Pioneers and the Beltel retirees. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who adored his family and loved helping others. William was known for his sense of humor and having a joke for everything. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Dorothy H. (Persson) Hutchinson of Washingtonville, he is survived by sons, Kenneth and wife, Joan Hutchinson of Farmingdale, NJ, William and wife, Mary Hutchinson of Longwood, FL, and Eric and wife, Sandeigh Hutchinson of Wappinger Falls; daughter, Sharon and husband, Casimir Kuchinsky of Hopewell Junction; grandchildren: Kenneth, Matthew, Jennifer, Amanda and Michael Hutchinson and Jeffrey and Steven Kuchinsky, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Fairbanks.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 18, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 19, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in William’s name to the VFW Post 8691, 44 E. Main St., Washingtonville, NY 10992.
