Alice was born in Oakland, ME on September 15, 1932. She graduated from Williams High School in 1950, Oakland, Maine.
Alice was married to Wallace Berard on July 23, 1953; they were married 53 years before Wallace passed away on December 16, 2006.
Alice worked as a candler for Corbett's Eggs for many years until they closed. She then retired as a packer for LaVerdiere's Warehouse. She enjoyed bird watching, the Boston Red Sox, crossword puzzles, candlepin bowling, playing cribbage with her grandkids. She was also involved in the Forest J. Pare Auxiliary VFW Post #1285 Women’s Auxiliary.
Alice is survived by her son Michael A. Berard and his wife Francine, from Vassalboro; grandchildren Bradford M. Berard and his wife Jess, from Vassalboro, Michaelina J. Stetson from Vassalboro, Jaime L. Berard from Skowhegan, and Jeffrey J. Berard and his wife Liza from Fairfield; 10 great-grandchildren Morgan, Keagan, Abby, Destiny, Josh, Julie, Taliya, Chase, Alex, Jada; Her siblings, Frances Doyon and her husband Leon, Stella Swett and husband Howard. Many nieces and nephews and many friends.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband Wallace, her brother Andrew George , parents Margaret + Verne George, her sister Nancy French and brother-in-law James French.

A memorial service will be held Thursday May 15, 2014 at 2pm at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Rd in Augusta. Arrangements are being handled by Veilleux Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Waterville VFW Post #1285 on 51 Water St., Waterville.
