

Waterville – Anita Wakelee, 90, of Waterville, passed from this life to the next on Sunday July 31, 2016. She was born on June 4, 1926 in Fort Kent, a daughter of David and Zoe (Belanger) Nadeau. She was married for over 60 years to Joseph W. Wakelee who died in 2007.
Anita was a cheerful woman who had a contagious smile, was grateful for all things in her life and was quick to send anyone in the family off with an, “I love you”. To say she loved her family is an understatement and to know Anita was to know she was a sweetheart. She also loved God, was a religious woman and a devout Catholic. She also loved dogs, especially Pomeranians.
She is survived by three brothers: Docite, Paul and Norman Nadeau; three sisters: Pricilla Daigle, Alice Sabitsky and Jeanine Harvey and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers: Gerard, Adelard, Ven, Aime and Noel Nadeau; her sisters: Fern Caron, Antoinette Beaulieu and Lucy Nadeau; and her beloved dog “Tuffy”.
