

Fairfield – David M. Thomas, 80, died on May 16, 2015 at the Togus V.A. Hospice Center in Augusta surrounded by his family. He was born in Waterville, December 17, 1934 the son of M. Richard Thomas and Jean B. Thomas.
David graduated from Waterville High and served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Fisher Engineering for many years, but was best known as Mr. T at Elm City Driving School which he owned and operated with his family.
David is survived by his wife Juliette (Turmelle) Thomas, his children; Pam and Darrell Hachey, Paula Thomas, and James Thomas, his grandchildren; Brad Thomas, Cory and wife Kelli Fales, Jessica Fales and husband P. Tyson Weaver, Tiana Thomas and Taylan Thomas as well as his great grandchildren; Emma, Kayla, Baby Fales, Troy Hachey and many nieces and nephews.
At David’s request there will be no services. The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the VA hospital especially the staff of the Dementia Care and Hospice Units. In lieu of flowers donation may be made in David’s memory to; Parkinson Disease, The Michael J. Fox Foundation P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
