

Smithfield – Geraldine “Gerry” Leonard, 92, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter and son-in-law on Monday December 11, 2017 in Smithfield. She was born on December 18, 1924 in Waterville, a daughter of Pierre and Alphonsine (Tardiff) Roberge.
Geraldine was a dedicated and enthusiastic member of T.O.P.S., Take Off Pounds Sensibly. She made many friends and helped to support them on their road to weight loss. She worked with the coordinator for nearly 38 years. She adored her grandchildren and really enjoyed being with them and taking care of them.
Gerry is survived by her daughter Patricia Dwyer and her husband Mitchell; two grandsons: Robin Tyler and Christopher Leonard; three granddaughters: Kim Cormier, Missy Brown and Shawna Brooks; 12 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law Debra (Taylor) Leonard; her sister Yvette Roberge Massey; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Robert “Chief” Franklin Leonard; her brothers: Antonio, Wilfred, Raymond, Francis and her twin brother Gerald Roberge; her two sisters: Antoinette Roberge Melanson and Carmeline Roberge Symonevich.
