Harold Withee

Waterville—Harold Arthur Withee, 83, of Winslow, passed away at Inland Hospital on Monday, August 10. Harold was born in Bangor on May 3, 1932, a son of the late Harold G. and Barbara (Ellis) Withee. He grew up in Bangor and graduated from Bangor High School in 1950.

Harold ran a wholesale business, H & E Wholesale, for 40+ years. He enjoyed riding his Harley and traveling with his wife of 40 years, Betty. He also served in the National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1951. He was an avid collector and wearer of fun suspenders and crazy socks.

He is survived by his stepsons, Robert Lemieux and wife Lynda of Oologah, Oklahoma, Steven Lemieux of Vassalboro, Kenneth Lemieux and wife Pamela Weiss of Gorham, his grandchildren, Keryn and husband Jason, Lyra, Alyssa, Joshua, Jessi, Ben, Elizabeth, Alexander, and great grandson, Eliot. He is also survived by a son Alan and wife Robin, his sister Adriana B. (Withee) Teolis and nieces Melissa Simpson, Michelle, Murdock, and Candace Cowan.

Harold was predeceased by his wife Betty, his parents, brother Richard Withee and sister-in-law, Dolores (White) Withee.
