Joan Elaine Gagne

AUGUSTA – Joan E. Gagne, 68, of Waterville, died June 16, 2016 at Maine General’s Alfond Center for Health. Joan was born in Waterville on September 11, 1947, the daughter of Alcide and Sabina (Urbanovich) Bouchard. After graduation from Winslow High School in 1965, Joan attended Mid State College in Augusta and received her Associates Degree. She worked for Kennebec Rental for many years as an Administrative Assistant.

Joan loved to listen to music, she enjoyed many genres from oldies to modern pop. And she loved her best friend and cat, Pebbles.

Joan will be dearly missed and is survived by her adoring husband of 44 years, Raymond; her two daughters Carol Gogan and her husband Dwayne of Franklin, New Hampshire and Sherry Gagne of Waterville; her grandchildren, Nicole Gagne and her significant other Chris Paradis, along with their children Kobe and Kylee Paradis, Cameron Gagne, and Katelyn Gagne all of Waterville, and Michael Gogan and My’Kayla Gogan of Franklin, New Hampshire; She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends. Joan was pre-deceased by her parents and her sister, Linda Poissonnier.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Silver Street on Friday, June 24 followed by a burial at St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donations in her name, in honor of her love of animals and Pebbles, to the Waterville Humane Society 100 Webb Road, Waterville, Maine 04901.
