Theresa Roy

Auburn - Theresa Roy died February 2 at Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn at the age of 90. Theresa was born in St. George Canada on October 1, 1923. She was the daughter of George Morin and Marie Anne Veilleux raised by Clara Morin Poulin and Adolphe Poulin.

Theresa moved to Waterville, Maine in 1950. She and her husband, Conrad who pre-deceased her in 2000 lived for 50 years on Kennedy Memorial Drive. She moved to Montello Heights in 2011. Many will remember her as running a vegetable stand at her home for many years. She was a member of the St. Theresa's Guild at St. Theresa's Church where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was secretary for the Association Canado-American. She was also a consultant for Vanda Beauty Counselor. She enjoyed attending "Les Bavards" a weekly gathering of Franco-Americans. Theresa was also an accomplished seamstress. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She leaves four children, a son Christian Roy of MA , daughters Sonia St. Pierre and her husband Maurice of Brunswick, Jacinthe Littlefield and husband Howard of Cape Elizabeth, and Luce Hillman and husband David of VT. Six grandchildren, Bryan St. Pierre of Gainesville, GA, Melissa Tatham of Brunswick, April & Mallory Hillman of Shelbourne, VT, Julie Hirsch, and Elise Littlefield of Jacksonville, FL as well as three great grandchildren, Nate, Allie, Avery.

Theresa's family would like to thank The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice for their care and compassion during their mothers final days.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6 from 6-8 PM at Veilleux Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday February, 7 at 11 AM at Notre Dame Catholic Church.
