Donald M. Raymor Sr.

Donald Melvin Raymor Sr. was born in Lowell, Michigan on August 3, 1935 to Charles and Marie Raymor. He was one of 8 children. He passed away peacefully on November 30, 2013 in Wayne, Michigan at the age of 78.

Donald was the beloved husband of Diana for 57 years. Loving father of Denise (Barry) Elmore, and Donald Jr. (Kathy) Raymor. Dear “Papa” of 4 grandchildren; Brandon (Michelle) Elmore, Dana Elmore, Jessica Raymor, and Ryan Raymor; As well as 4 great-grandchildren; Carter, Zachary & Evan Elmore and Brystol Raymor.

Survived by his brothers Chuck (the late Sally) Raymor and Eldon (Pat) Raymor, brother-in-law Ferman Rohraff and his sister-in-law Alice Raymor.

Predeceased by his siblings; Aliene (the late Hank) Herrest, Barbara Rohraff, Joe Raymor, Robert Raymor and Betty Raymor.

Donald was a bricklayer by trade for over 30 years. He was employed by Grunwell Cashero. He loved to hunt for turkey and deer as well as going ice fishing and riding motorcycles.

Memorial Donations may be made in lieu of flowers in Donald’s name to the Arthritis Foundation.

The family will receive friends for a visitation and Memorial Service, led by Father Gerard V. Bechard, at Harry J Will Funeral Home 34567 Michigan Ave. Wayne, MI 48184 (Two blocks east of Wayne Road in the center median of Michigan Avenue)

Visitation: 3-6:00pm. Memorial Service to follow promptly at 6:00pm.
