John Joseph Lamontagne of Wayne, Michigan, was born on April 7, 1953 to Aime and Beatrice Lamontagne and passed away peacefully at home after a short battle with lung cancer on October 22, 2012 at the age of 59.
Father of Joseph and Jenny. Beloved Brother of Carolyn Justin, Phillip (Kathryn) of California, Mary Therese, James (Amparo) and the late Ann Pfeifer (Steve). Loved by 8 nieces and nephews. John was a dear friend and colleague to many in and around the City of Wayne and he will be missed by all who knew him.
John worked at and owned Cliff's Shoe Repair in Old Wayne and at the Wayne Metro Mall for over 40 years. He later worked for 15 years as a painter for Trigon Metal of Redford.
The family will receive friends for a Memorial Service at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, Wayne, MI. Gathering and visiting will be at the funeral home beginning at 1:00pm.
