I’m sick that I only just heard of your tragic loss, I would have been there for sure.
Your house was my second home growing up and Pat was a big part of the reason why I loved being there.
It seemed like he would always have us doing something fun, he was very charismatic and original.
I can’t even remember him without that huge smile on his face and that mischievous tone in his voice when he would call for us girls.
He could have easily ignored us, let’s face it he was way cooler than we were, but he never did, he always greeted me with a big grin while saying my name really loud.
I can honestly say that I only have fond memories of Pat.
What a great loss for your family, I’m so sorry.

I want to say thank you to everyone who made my father's life better in his last days. He loved his family very much. He will be watching over all of us with his smile and the twinkle he always had in his eyes.

My brother pattycake- my memories of you begin in kindergarten when you helped me get ready for school. I happily wore the knee sock on one leg and an ankle sock on the other- you tried so hard to find them.  You walked me by the hand to school and I was so proud to be with you! You were the best part of my life; so funny, charming and creative. My life changed forever when I couldn't find you one day. Later, I used to meet you at the corner whenever you called- I always did the right thing just like you did. You were always on my mind. We had lots of dinners in Arizona. Always so much fun. Each moment we spent together was cherished. You and Laurie (I still love you girl) became the God-parents to Keiley. No matter how long we were apart we were always so comfortable together.  The last few months we were together every day.. We talked about everything.. we made a pact.. we will always be the best of friends! I have never met anyone like you my brother- you have a heart of gold.  I will miss you desperately- til we meet again. Your legacy will live on with my work in social work my brother. I love you so very much- your sister Deanna

Some memories of you, my brother...
Me picking you up and bringing you back to Mom's. And your hair was long and prettier than mine...annoying. But you wanted it cut and I assured you I was wonderful at it, so I did. And I turned your great hair into a clown haircut because I wasn't as good as I thought. But you looked at it and said, "It's okay, Jen. It's good." We looked at each other and burst out laughing. 
I remember lighting matches in the backyard, a big no-no. And when I was asked about it, you my brother stepped up and took the blame for me.
All of my memories are like these. You were a loving, protecting, giving, golden-hearted soul who is with our great Lord now. I love you, my brother...Until we meet again.
