Robert D. Valente

Robert Delano Valente passed away on May 18, 2013. He was 80 years old. Robert was the loving husband of Patricia for 59 years. Beloved father of Debra (Charles) Woolery and Steven. Loving grandfather of Marc (Sheri), Kristen and Matthew (Cristin). Great-grandfather of Isaac, Caleb, Elijah and Adam.

Robert retired from Chrysler after 46 years of service to the company. He enjoyed biking and working in his yard and spending time with Maggie. He loved his toys; his tractors Big Red and Cub Cadet, his camper, and most of all his truck. He recently celebrated his 80th birthday. Robert loved to travel, fish and write. He was very committed to the Catholic church and an avid U of M fan. Robert will be deeply missed by those who loved him.

A Visitation will be held at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 34567 Michigan Avenue in Wayne on Wednesday from 1:00pm until 9:00pm with a Rosary Service at 7:30pm. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, May 23 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3521 Fourth Street in Wayne. Robert will be laid to rest at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights.

The family asks that memorial donations be made in Roberts honor to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
