Mourning with a broken heart the passing early yesterday of Russell Barber with whom I have had the honor of sharing friendship with for the past 23 years. He and I always had good conversations when we had the opportunity to spend time together.

Though his departure from this physical plane of existence and presence in our lives will leave a void it will be, at least partially, filled by wonderful memories of our times together and the positive impact he was in my life and the lives of others.

Rest In Peace, Russell, you will be greatly and powerfully missed.

I only met Russell once but enjoyed his posts and photos on Facebook. Royda and Russell stoped by Scrappy Chic on a Wednesday as that was the day the retired Archivers scrapbook/card making friends met up. I never worked at Archivers but went there enough and was friends with Jessica who did work there. That is how I knew Royda.
Russell was exactly as I’d pictured from only knowing him virtually. He was funny, charming and the love between him and Royda lit up the room. I wish I had known him better as I can tell he was a great man! Hugs and prayers to Royda and her family, I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful man!
