Barbara Jean (Argenbright) Hensley

Barbara Jean Argenbright Hensley, 67, of 1000 Eastside Highway, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 8:17 AM with her family by her side. She was born October 3, 1944 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Clyde A. and Sarah Winifred Phillips Argenbright. She was a member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church, was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 2216 and retired from Augusta Health as a Registered Nurse with forty years of service. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters; Patricia Pannel, Bonnie Maxwell and Mary Yvonne Carr. Survivors include her husband, Forrest R. Hensley, two sons; Anthony Wayne Hensley of Churchville, Brent Rudolph Hensley and fiancee’ Pam Richardson of Waynesboro, daughter; Jeanette Marie Marion and husband Seth of Waynesboro, brother; Robert J. “Bob” Argenbright and wife Ann of Waynesboro, sister; Marjorie Lambert and husband Gene of of Stuarts Draft, sister; Faye Cook of Waynesboro, brother; Harold Argenbright and wife Debbie of Mt. Solon, brother; Barry Argenbright and wife Evelyn of Waynesboro, brother; Garry Argenbright and wife Janet of Waynesboro, brother; Clyde “Bill” Argenbright and wife Anita of New Hope, brother; Sammy Argenbright and wife Nancy of Fishersville, seven grandchildren; Candice, Trisha and Chance Hensley, Jessica and Faith Richardson, Blake and Madison Marion, two aunts; Dorothy Back and Frances Hall. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with the Rev. Will Heyward officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Mark Hamilton, Michael Strum, G. W. Argenbright, Terri Argenbright, Jason Argenbright and Harold Cox. Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 7:30 PM at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Shenandoah, P O Box 215 Fishersville, Va. 22939. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
