Betty (Alford) Bosserman

Betty was born on August 10, 1932 to the late Odie Theodore and Virgie Leona Scrogham Alford.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Bosserman; her son, Stanley Roadcap; and her brother, Donnie Alford.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Nikki Roadcap of Orlando, Florida; sister-in-law, Dot Alford of Bridgewater, VA; nieces, Donna Pugh (Greg) of Crozet, VA and Debbie Simmons (Jeff) of Staunton, VA; great niece and nephew, Ashleigh Brown of Waynesboro, VA and Joshua Pugh (Leah) of Crozet, VA; and great-great nephew and niece, Peyton and Reagan Brown of Waynesboro, VA.

In earlier years Betty was employed by Crompton (Waynesboro, VA) and in later years retired from the Augusta County Transportation System. Betty was a former member of the Dooms Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren. Her favorite pastimes included gardening, shopping, and helping others.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren (36 Crimora Mine Road, Crimora, VA 24431). The family asks for those who plan to attend the service to please wear a face covering.

The family requests donations be made to Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren or Bridgewater Retirement Community, 302 North Second Street, Bridgewater, VA 22812.
