Born November 11, 1957 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Leatrice (Hall) Metcalf.
Bett was currently employed by Lowes in Waynesboro where she worked as a cashier. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family, jigsaw puzzles, and browsing facebook.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Alumbaugh and Janet Thompson.
Survivors include her daughter, Sara Burnette; the father of her daughter, Larry Burnette; siblings, Connie Herndon (Harry) of CA, Tony Metcalf (Sue) of Afton, and Chuck Metcalf (Tera) of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, there will be no formal viewing or services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
