He was born on January 6, 1957, in Waynesboro, a son of Gara Conwell and Anne Isabell Moyer Broyles. Brent was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and was employed by Industrial Machine Works.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Linda Simpson Broyles; a son, Nick Broyles of Richmond; and a brother, Steve Broyles of Staunton.
His body will be cremated and there will be no funeral services. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today, Monday, January 7, 2013, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
