Charles Averill Doyle, 72, of Waynesboro, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at his home. He was born on March 22, 1944 in Augusta County, a son of the late Hezekiah Averill and Nina Alease (Beach) Doyle.
Charles was an army veteran, serving in Germany during the Vietnam era. He spent most of his life working as a home improvement contractor.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lisa Hodge and her husband, Thomas; grandson, Matthew Hodge; sister, Rosa Rhodes and her partner, Jay Clark; as well as extended family.
A funeral service with military honors will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Rev. Clayton Payne officiating. Burial will be private.
There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
