Christopher Emil Payne

Bo was born in Harrisonburg, VA to Allen James and Audrey (Shaver) Payne on February 14th, 1968. Bo spent 25 years working for the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind as a “House Parent” pouring into the lives of countless children who faced physical challenges. Bo will be remembered as a kind, generous and funny person, who brought joy to everyone he encountered and was always ready to laugh. For the last year, Bo has been enjoying his job at Amazon, where he worked in the warehouse. In his spare time, Bo could be found continuing his work with disabled children, rescuing stray cats, and enjoying the outdoors. Bo also loved to travel, especially international travel, and could frequently be found at the beach in Florida or on a cruise.

Bo was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Allen J Payne II.

Bo is survived by his brothers; David Yoshida, currently living in Japan, Eric Payne and wife Vicki of Staunton; as well as his sisters, Heather Payne and Tiffany Payne. He is also survived by his aunt, Sarah Shaver; uncle Bill and aunt Cynthia Shaver; his nieces and nephews, Miyuki, Masatoshi, Mutsuumi, Minami, Musashi, Brittany Payne, Timmy Payne, Cheyenne Payne, Jessie Stemple, Taylor Gore and Dalton Stemple; as well as great nieces and nephews, Bailey Lam and Delaney Dean. In addition, he is survived by his cousins, Sherry Murphy, Andrew Shaver; and friends, Don Roe, Madeleine Dupre, and Faithlynn Robinson.

Following cremation, the family will conduct a Celebration of Life gathering at a later date.
