Conrad E. Wright

Mr. Wright was born December 25, 1922 in Crimora a son of the late Charles E. and Camille Ellinger Wright.

He graduated from New Hope High School, was a World War ll Army Veteran, a member of Crimora United Methodist Church and retired after 36 years of service with the former Crompton Shenandoah Company.

He was the last surviving member of his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two bothers, Vernon M, Wright, Julius E. Wright and a sister, Frances Wagner.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Virginia M. Wright, a son, Douglas D. Wright and wife Lisa of Crimora, two grandchildren, Jennifer Stinespring and husband Randy of Millboro, Melissa “Missy” Aleshire and husband Deke of Crimora, two great granddaughters, Samantha Dale Stinespring, Aida Camille Aleshire, one great grandson, Caeden Douglas Aleshire, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Mountain View Cemetery (Route 865 Rockfish Rd, Crimora) by the Rev. Merle Fisher. Military rites will be provided by American Legion Post 340.

There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home. Friends will be received at the residence of his son, 91 Crimora Station Lane or his wife at Avante’ Nursing Home, Waynesboro.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Food Pantry of Crimora United Methodist Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
