Constance J. “Connie” Henley, of Crozet, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on October 25, 1946 to the late Thomas J. and Frances L. Henley in Michigan. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her son, grandchildren, and loving companion, Ken.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Brown and his wife Susan of Waynesboro, two grandchildren Madison and Jack; three sisters, Betty Lou Henley Benoit of Cary, NC, Joane Henley of Middleburg, and Kay Montgomery and her husband Dan of McLean, a brother, Tom Henley and his wife Alice of North Garden; nieces, Frannie Henley and Christine Montgomery; nephew, Bob Montgomery; along with a host of other family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that monetary donations be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway #300, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
In honoring Connie’s wishes, her body will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Home in Waynesboro Monday, December 29, 2014 at 11:00 am.
