Dallas Monroe Fix, 93, of Waynesboro passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born in Brownsburg on August 26, 1925, a son of the late Clarence and Ruth McManama Fix.
Dallas proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as a clerk with Columbia Gas. Dallas was a member of Celebration of God Church. He never met a stranger and was not afraid to share his unwavering faith with people.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Aileen (Rickman) Fix; brother, Glenn Fix; granddaughter, Kay Bryant and great-grandsons, Tyler Fix and Nicholas Botkin.
Survivors include his children, JoAnn Duncan of Afton and Jerry Fix and wife, Kathy of Waynesboro; siblings, Cecil Fix and Katherine "Kitty" Newcomb both of Ohio; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018, at Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Rd., Waynesboro. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery.
There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dallas’s memory to his church, Celebration Church of God, 542 N Delphine Ave, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
